Welcome to Ascot Bridge Club's web site.

This site aims to provide both members and visitors with all the key information on what's happening and what's planned within the club.

There is bridge played at the Ascot club every Monday afternoon and Tuesday evening - except on bank holidays. Whilst the Monday afternoon section of the club plays exclusively duplicate pairs bridge, the Tuesday evening section includes teams of four evenings several times every year.

Congratulations to Addis Page, William Smyth, Phil Adler and Barry Read who won the Pivot Teams competition on June 2nd. (Posted 10th June 2009)

Congratulations to Barry Read and Alan Brown who won the Bracknell Bridge League End of Season Pairs Event on May 7. Well done to Mike Corfield and Dave Calcutt who were runners-up. (Posted 17th May 2009)

Congratulations to Barry Read and Alan Brown who were runners up in the Club Pairs county final for the Waller Bowl on 29th March.  Mary Hughes and David Owen finished 5th in the same event. (Posted 10 April 2009)

Teams News

Both Ascot League of 8 teams finished the season in style and in the top halves of their respective divisions.  Ascot B achieved the more notable results in climbing out of the relegation positions with two maximum 20-0 victories in the final two games of the season.  Ascot A followed suit with two big wins to climb above local rivals Burnham A. Congratulations to Ascot C who have won promotion and the Div II title following a storming second half to the season where they won all 6 matches since Christmas!  They are promoted back to Div I. Well done to Martin Lister (captain), Pat Jones, Tony Solomons, Terry Martin and Vernon Bates. (Posted 28th March 2009)

Congratulations to Barry Read (captain), Alan Brown, Jennie Corfield and Bruce Franklin who successfully defended their Bracknell League Div 1 title, just losing one game all season. (Posted 18th March 2009)

Congratulations to Jennie Corfield, Bruce Franklin, Barry Read and Alan Brown who won the Bracknell League Handicap Pivot Knockout event beating a team from Bracknell Forest in the final. (Posted 18th March 2009)
